wow, that is a big difference --thanks for the demo. but I guess it's only noticeable if you print out poster-sized photographs? (probably wouldn't see it on a regular 4x6 photo ,eh?)
am i correct in assuming then that most professional photographers (weddings, etc.) take RAW photos then? i always wondered why they sell those huge 8GB memory cards. now I know.

I agree,
I read from FM Forum that many professionals (more than we think)shoot JPEG. These are people who can "nail" the shot the first time. They are confident that their settings are correct and shooting technique is at almost perfection. For the rest of us, we need the flexibility of RAW files. RAW files saved me many times :)
And yes, 4x6 or even 8x10, it will be hard to notice the difference between staright JPEG and RAW.
